The third molar, often known as wisdom teeth, are the last teeth to erupt. Usually you get them in early 20s or late teens. If they erupt smoothly without any interruption, there is no problem at all. However, if they do not erupt poorly or are misaligned, they needs to be extracted. Also, they can damage the adjacent teeth if they are improperly aligned.
